The MakePages Clamshell Menu

Here is a sample menu embedded on this page using the MakePages Clamshell Menu. The file below accesses an XML text file to determine the menu items.

Instructions

This simple Flash application will work on any Web site. Just follow these simple instructions.

  1. Download the MakePagesClamshell.zip file to your hard drive.
  2. Decompress the file using Stuffit Expander or UnZipIt.
  3. You will see a new folder called MakePagesClamshell.
  4. Edit the text file called MakePagesClamshell.xml to change the links shown in the menu.
  5. Upload both MakePagesClamshell.xml and MakePagesClamshell.swf to the same folder in your Web site.
  6. Use Dreamweaver, GoLive, or any good Web development program to embed MakePagesClamshell.swf in any of your Web pages. Caution: Be sure that the xml file and the swf file are in the same folder as the html file. Otherwise, the swf file will not be able to locate the xml file.
